- For frying banana you will need
- 3 raw bananas (steamed)(Chopped into circles)
- to taste Salt
- 2 heaped tsp cornflour
- 1 tsp oil
- as required Oil for deep frying
- For making CHILLI RAW BANANA
- 1 tbsp oil
- as required Crispy Fried raw bananas
- 8-9 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1-2 fresh green chillies
- 1 onion (chopped small)
- 1 onion (cut into petals)
- 1 large size capsicum (cut into squares)
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp Dark Soya sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp freshly crushed black pepper powder
- 1 tsp chicken masala
- as per taste Salt
- as required Dry roasted sesame seeds
Instructions to make to make Chilli Raw Banana (Dry)
- Steam the bananas, let it cool. Then cut into thick circles. You can cut into any shape of your choice. Next add salt and cornflour. Mix. Put oil. Toss mix so that all the bananas are nicely coated. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying. Put the marinated bananas and fry them till they become little golden. Do not overfry else it becomes too hard. Let it give a meaty feeling. Drain extra oil and keep aside.
- Now heat a kadhai. Saute chopped garlic. Add grated ginger and saute. Next add fresh green chillies.
- Next add chopped onion and saute all together till onion is brown. Next add the onion petals and capsicum squares. Add salt as needed. Also put black pepper powder. Mix and cook till capsicum is cooked yet crunchy. Next prepare sauce mixture in a bowl, by adding all the three sauces, vinegar and chicken masala.
- Next add the fried bananas into the kadhai. Put the sauce mixture. Put little water.
- Mix all well. Add some more black pepper powder and mix. IT'S READY!! Transfer on to a serving plate... sprinkle sesame seeds and serve!! (I'm keeping it dry) If you like to keep gravy then, take 1 tbsp cornflour, add water into it and make a lump free slurry. Add this slurry into the chilli banana. Cook till you get a nice gravy consistency of the chilli banana. Switch the flame off and serve hot with Chinese fried rice.
